Moment, focuses on health monitoring and finding the right time to conceive was the main focus of this design, taking existing methods of testing for peak times (ovulation), body health and pregnancy testing and putting it all into one device that breaks down the user process in a easy and less confusing approach. The top section tests body temperature which has to be done before they move in the morning to get the best results, the middle section is a folic acid dispenser which helps the body function and stay healthy increasing the chances of pregnancy and finally the bottom section is a standard pregnancy test. Moment acts as an alarm clock waking them up in the morning and using light to light up each section of the device to break down the user process. Once the process is complete it is sent to their app on their phone taking away any need of a personal handwritten diary. The App informs them when ovulation is taking place and the best time to conceive in that window.
How it Works
As mentioned previously each section lights up to wake the user wake up in the mornings. Each section has different method which helps a woman gage the best time to conceive.
A basal thermometer which extends out of the top section when lifted off this monitors the users temperature, and has to be done before any movement occurs, so readings are no irregular. If the user body temperature is slightly higher over a period of time compared to their normal body weight this shows they are ovulating.
The information after each test is transferred to the moment app which will inform them of their window of ovulation this has to be monitored over three months to see if there is a pattern, once the pattern as been worked out it tells them the week to conceive to increase their chances of pregnancy.
To also help the body to increase the incases but also keeping the body health the next stage is to take a folic acid tablet. There is a dispenser which the user pushes and a tablet is dispensed.

The final stage is to take a pregnancy test if they feel like they are pregnant, the test strip is hidden in the bottom of the monitor kit and can be pulled put. the test strip is changeable allowing them to change the test strip if the results are negative giving them more chances instead of replacing the whole test kit.
App
The App has a big roll to play as it links directly to the monitor, the user sets the alarm time and when woken up it gives them a break down of what stages that they are meant to do and giving them their results. A calendar can be accessed that shows them their temperatures, and when ovulation takes place, they can also tell the app when menstruation occurred to boost the reading accuracy.
Testing and Model Making
Packaging
Packing was apparent through testing that it has to be descrete and sympathetic.
To do this, a simple line drawing of the product was printed on the box with the logo under neither in a purple as that was the preferred colour from testing.
When the box is opened it presents itself in a clean approachable to create a feeling of ownership.
